Carolyn J. Powell, 70, of Macungie, died May 13, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of Benjamin B. Powell for 48 years. Born in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of Anna Jane (Draper) Kelley and the late Charles R. Kelley.

She worked for Buckeye Pipeline as an engineering specialist for over 35 years, retiring in 2009.

She was an active member of St. John’s U.C.C., where she was the head of the social committee and treasurer of the adult Sunday school.

She especially loved spending time with her family and caring for her home.

She is survived by her husband; mother, of Allentown; a son, Sean L. and his wife, Terri, of Allentown; a daughter, Carrie A. and her husband, Sean Pearson, of Valencia; a sister, Joyce M. Whittington, of Hagerstown, Md.; grandchildren, Faith and Hope Pearson and Krystine.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. May 21 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 10 to 11 a.m. May 21 in the funeral home.
