LVA NEWS - Warm-hearted goodbye

“As we go on, we remember, all the times we spent together, As our lives change, from whatever, we will still be, friends forever.” These are the words of the late famous singer Juice Wrld. Sadly, he is gone, but his message lives on. You see, we are at the end of our high school career, but our lives are just starting.

LVA has prepared its seniors for greatness as we have the opportunity to take the IB exams and hopefully get college credits. Some seniors are going for the full diploma which means that they are examining all of their classes. Many of the seniors are excited as they have received their college acceptance letters and just can’t wait to go to the college of their dreams.

LVA has paved the way and taught us seniors how to be hard workers. Among other traits, LVA has also taught us how to be creative. We recently had a hall decorating contest, and even though the seniors’ hallway was arguably the best, the juniors ended up winning.

Next up for LVA will be graduation, when all the seniors and teachers will get together to celebrate how the seniors have reached an important milestone in their lives. Many seniors will receive chords of recognition. Some will receive the National Honor Society chord; others will receive other honor society chords. But no matter which chords received, we all will have finished high school together and that is the most important part.

Even though this year was taken away from the seniors, our history would still be left as one of the greatest classes of LVA, due to the fact that we had the most creativity and the wildest memories.

Some memories some LVA students would like to share are as follows.

“That one time in Boston when my roommate was taking a shower and he accidentally flooded the entire bathroom.”

“I will never forget the time that I had Mrs. Walker as a teacher, she was the best teacher I have ever had.”

“Ms. Caroff and her movies were amazing. I will never forget the time when we made gingerbread houses, she is the coolest teacher ever!”

“Remember when we got zoom-bombed on the first day of nature science class? That was wild.”

“My favorite teacher by far has to be Mrs. Cheema; she was the sweetest and most funniest teacher I have ever had.”

“Remember that one time we had a Spanish substitute teacher called Mr. Greg. I think that is enough said. We all know the legend that Greg was.”

“Remember that one time in the pep rally when we were playing tug of war with the teachers, and the teachers started cheating, so we started cheating and we ended up winning! Best senior class forever baby!”

“Remember when we thought we were going to have a two-week vacation? What ended up being 10 times worse.”

We are at the end of our high school career and it’s a pretty hard goodbye, but one thing that I will know for sure is that I have made memories I will never make again. I am glad that I have made them in LVA, where I have met many amazing people.

This is Alex saying goodbye; it was nice writing these articles to whomever is reading them. Thanks for your time. Please stay safe, wear a mask, wash your hands and if you can, get vaccinated!
