PRIMARY ELECTION 2021

Election Day is May 18. Here are the races and candidates voters will see on the ballot.

LEHIGH COUNTY

Executive: Democratic incumbent Phillips M. Armstrong will face Republican Glenn Eckhart. This is a four-year term. Voters will choose one.

Board of commissioners: In District 1, Democrat Luke Savage and Republican Antonio Pineda are vying for a four-year term. Voters will choose one.

COPLAY BOROUGH

Mayor: There are no candidates listed on the primary ballot.

Council: Democrats Stephen J. Burker, Louis L. Bodish, Carl A. Luckenbach and Charles J. Sodl are seeking four-year terms. Voters will choose four.

Tax collector: Democrat Jeffry P. Deutsch is the sole candidate for this four-year term.

Constable: Democrat Joseph D. Roth is seeking this six-year term. There is no Republican opponent on the ballot.

Judge of election: Democrat Beverly Miller is a candidate to represent the 2nd District. This is a four-year term.

Inspector of election: Democrat Susan Butchinski is seeking the position to represent the 1st District, while Republican Joan Witko is a candidate to represent the 2nd District. These are four-year terms.

WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP

Board of commissioners: Three Democrats and three Republicans are seeking four-year terms. Democrats Thomas Slonaker, Joseph J. Marx Jr. and Michael Dee will face Republicans Andy Roman, LoriAnn Fehnel and Karen S. Wilt. Voters will choose three.

Tax collector: Democrat Tina Jo Koren is the sole candidate for this four-year term.

Constable: Republican Ron Clever is seeking this six-year term. There is no Democratic opponent on the ballot.

Judge of election (each precinct): Democrat Lana L. Snyder is seeking the position to represent the 5th District. Democrat Raymond Bieak is seeking to represent the 8th District. Republican Phyllis- Ann Roman Beitler is seeking to represent the 11th District. The terms are four years.

Inspector of election (each precinct): Democrat Renee Gombert is on the ballot to represent the 8th District, while Republican Betty L. Maier is the sole candidate to represent the 5th District. These are four-year terms.
