SHS names student of the week

Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?

A. I am currently in my senior year at Salisbury High School.

Q. Who is in your family? Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.

A. My family consists of my mom (Marcie), dad (Stephen), brother (Stephen Jr.), sister (Cassandra), Gram (Joan) and my Pap (Harry).

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject was American Cultures since I had a good teacher and loved the projects.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I have been a student of the month at Lehigh Carbon Technical Institute.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has COVID-19 impacted these activities?

A. Since COVID-19 hit I dropped most of my activities and started working. I work four days a week.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. My goal is to get my masters in plumbing.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge would be passing my journeyman and my master.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I would like to be remembered as a hard worker and the one that always looks out for others.

Q. Whom do you admire? Why?

A. I admire my Gram the most since she’s been through a lot and no matter what she always has a smile on her face. I look up to her and hope to be just like her.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. My advice is to work for what you want. Don’t just go to tech since it’s easy, go because you can make a living off what you learn. Tech taught me so many things and it made me who I am. I wouldn’t change anything. I’m glad I went.
