James C. McBride, 89, formally of Allentown, died April 27, 2021, at Easton Hospital. He was the husband of the late Shirley (Stephen) McBride for 61 years.

Born and raised in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Robert A. and Mary H. (Vandergrift) McBride.

He was a retired truck driver who worked for Graver and Modern Transfer trucking companies. He received many driving safety awards and was a member of Mack Million Mile Club for driving without an accident.

He was a lifelong member of Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua.

As a young man, he played the drums for Catasauqua American Legion.

He is survived by nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Robert; and a sister, Mary Somers.
