CONTRIBUTED PHOTOS Lehigh Township Police Department K-9 Cash assists at National Prescription Take Back Day April 24.

At the event, held in the fire department parking lot, 4188 Lehigh Drive, Cherrville, eight large boxes of old, unused prescription and over-the-counter medications were collected.

According to township Police Chief Scott Fogel, “This was definitely a worthwhile event for the community that removed a large amount of old prescription medications, reducing the chance of misuse or abuse.”
