Vaccine clinic planned for April 25

Catasauqua Borough has teamed up with Hartzell’s Pharmacy to sponsor a drive-thru COVID-19 vaccine clinic 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. April 25. The event will be held on the grounds of the Catasauqua Municipal Complex, 90 Bridge St. The Pfizer vaccine will be administered to those ages 16 and over.

Appointments are required. As of press time, all appointment slots had been filled.

However, those interested in scheduling an appointment should continue to check the borough website, catasauqua.org, as well as Hartzell’s website, hartzells.com, in the event of cancellations, which would result in open slots.

The drive-thru vaccine clinic will take place at the Catasauqua Fire Department garage. Registered people are to remain in their vehicle and follow directions upon arrival.

Arrive no sooner than five minutes before your scheduled appointment time. You will be asked to wait for 15 minutes in your car after receiving the vaccine.

Catasauqua is planning a clinic to administer the second Pfizer dose May 16, also 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. The appointment for the second shot will be made at the first appointment.

Borough council President Vincent Smith said he is happy to see a public/private partnership cooperate in this important endeavor.
