Lehigh Township: Drug take back set for April 24

Lehigh Township Police Department will be hosting two upcoming events.

The first is a National Prescription Take Back Day event 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 24 at Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company, 4188 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville. All prescription and over-the-counter medications will be accepted. Liquids must be in a sealed container and in a plastic bag. No syringes or needles will be accepted.

The second event is a free car seat check 1:30-3:30 p.m. May 25 in the fire company parking lot.

The community pantry in the parking lot at Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, is still being stocked for those in need.

Hope Lutheran Church Nursery School is now accepting new registrations for the next school term.

Bethany Wesleyan Church is holding GriefShare at its Lehighton campus, 1122 Fairyland Road.

GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.

It will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays beginning May 19.

A special event regarding the loss of a spouse will be held 3 p.m. May 16.
