CONTRIBUTED PHOTOS For his Eagle Scout project Nathan Jurado, a Scout in Troop 431, enhanced the nature path at Willow Lane Elementary School, which was installed by the school PTO, according to Dr. Anthony Moyer, principal at the school. Willow Lane Elementary School Principal Anthony Moyer met with Jurado about the project. “I worked with Nathan to determine what it would include. We began our meetings last summer,” Moyer wrote in an email to The Press.
The bird feeding station will be maintained by students, according to Moyer. “The entire project extends our school's outdoor learning movement,” Moyer explained.
Students at Willow Lane Elementary School often use the nature path and Jurado's benches for fresh air breaks. Jurado completed the project with donations, according to Moyer.
