Curbside collection of branches begins April 19

Salisbury Township has announced the cancellation of the summer playground program.

According to the township website, “It is with regret that the Township announces the cancellation of the Summer Park Playground Program for 2021. Running a program for a large number of children to participate in shared activities and extensive interaction is not feasible at this time due to the current COVID restrictions/guidelines. The recreation committee is planning other fun and safe activities that follow CDC guidelines so please check the website for updates.”

The next school board meeting will be held virtually 7::30 p.m. April 14.

Salisbury Elementary School will hold its next T-shirt day April 22.

The next virtual curriculum and technology meeting will be held 7 p.m. April 26.

The Salisbury Athletic Booster Club Clothing Drive is scheduled June 5 at Salisbury Middle School. The drop off location is SMS’s main entrance 9 a.m. to noon. For more information on what items will and will not be accepted, visit www.clothingdrive.net.

The township will begin the curbside branch collection April 19. Branches should be no longer than 5 feet and no wider than 5 inches thick. Branches should be bundled together with smaller branches placed in a lidless container. Bags will not be collected.

Township yard waste sites are open again and alternating weeks. Hours for drop off are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Franko Farm will be open April 19, 22 and 24. Devonshire will be open April 26, 29 and May 1.
