Thomas Grogg

Thomas E. Grogg, 69, of Chuluota, Fla., formerly of Emmaus, died March 4, 2021, with his family by his side. He was the husband of Michele (Guinther) Grogg for 50 years. He was a son of the late Dorothy and Lee Grogg.

A self-proclaimed Mr. Fix-It, no job was ever too big or too small for this master plumber of over 50 years. His classic jokes like “there were these three strings” or “the sidehill wolken” can still bring back wonderful memories of his unique storytelling ability, which always ended with roars of laughter. He would give anyone the shirt off his back but would also be the first person to set you up for a prank.

He was quite an incredible artist and used his artistic ability to be a MacGyver of sorts. Once he had an idea, he designed and engineered many concoctions to suit the job.

He was accident-prone by nature and on a first-name basis at the emergency room. A very active man who never sat for long, he enjoyed scuba diving, fishing, watching the rocket launches near his home and enjoying the sunsets from his dock with his dog, Bella.

To him, if you weren’t laughing, you weren’t living.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Kelly McEllroy and Lauryn Graves; grandchildren, Colton and Adisyn; a brother, Lee; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, William and a sister, Mary Posey, both of Reading.

Contributions may be made to The Cancer Support Community of the Lehigh Valley or the family asks that you have a beer in his name.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.

Arrangements by National Cremation.
