LCCC grants for COVID impact

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) students who have been impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic will have access to grants through the federal Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA).

Students who have faced unexpected educational expenses or financial hardship related to the pandemic may apply for these grants.

Examples of covered expenses include: tuition, computer and software purchases, internet access fees, books and supplies.

In addition, grants can also assist with expenses such as food, housing and utility costs, transportation costs, childcare and healthcare.

LCCC is prioritizing students with exceptional financial need as exhibited on the FAFSA. Funding is limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Grants will not count toward the Estimated Financial Assistance, and financial need as determined by the FAFSA will not be a factor in award amounts.

Students may apply once for a grant. Funding is limited and is not guaranteed. Students must be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen to qualify and be enrolled in the semester indicated on the application.

To apply, complete the online application found on the myLCCC portal.

Click on “Apply for Scholarships” under “My Finances” in the Launchpad on the left side of the screen.

Or go to: www.LCCC.edu/scholarships.
