Eastburn “Ed” Herbert Shelly Jr., 88, of Nazareth, died Feb. 27, 2021, while in the care of St. Luke’s, Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Eastburn H. Sr. and Helen Louise (Reppert) Shelly; and a stepmother, Elizabeth “Betty” (Sheetz) Shelly. He was the husband of Lois Dianne (Wilkinson) Shelly for 67 years.

He was a 1960 graduate of Moravian College.

He was a systems analyst and computer programmer for various corporations. He retired as a vice president from Sedgwick Printout Systems, Princeton, New Jersey.

He was a member of the former St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Bethlehem.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Richard and his wife Carol of Bath, Brian and his wife Gail Ann, Valerie Cacciatore and her husband Keith, Melanie Olenwine and her husband Scott and Kevin Shelly, all of Bethlehem; a daughter-in-law, Judi Shelly; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Barry Shelly; and two sisters, Elaine Paulus and Louise Kemp.
