Woman’s Club of Emmaus honors Girls of the Month

The Woman’s Club of Emmaus will not hold any meetings this spring due to the pandemic. However, the club’s Girl of the Month program continues.

Since 1953, the Woman’s Club of Emmaus has celebrated the accomplishments of eight Emmaus High School senior girls through the Girl of the Month program. Each year, the departments of art, business/computer applications, drama, family and consumer science, journalism, mathematics, music and science select an outstanding senior female student. Until the pandemic, the celebration was held at the club’s March meeting in honor of National Women’s History Month. This year, the girls will be honored in June.

The Girls of the Month for the 2020-2021 school year are Rachel Knappenberger, music; Kristen Heilenman, journalism; Lindsay Ott, art; Nesiah Bertram, family/consumer science; Sara Garces Ruiz, business/computer application; Megan Hammer, drama; Catlin O’Brien, science and Naqiyah Peatiwala, mathematics.
