Simple assault

Michael J. Gerhard, 32, of Allentown, allegedly shoved another person to the ground and would not let the person get up during an argument at a location on Riverbend Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 5:30 a.m. and 6:08 a.m. Jan. 26, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The person Gerhard allegedly shoved was hurt in the incident, according to police.

DUI

Jasmin Marie Velez, 26, of Bethlehem, was placed under arrest for allegedly driving under the influence after a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Lower Macungie Road and South Cedar Crest Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 8:54 p.m. Feb. 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 52-year-old female, of Macungie, allegedly was found unconscious and slumped over in her vehicle at the intersection of Sauerkraut Lane and Wild Cherry Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 6:30 p.m. Jan. 17, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Vehicle theft

A black 2016 Honda as well as a laptop computer, shoes and a smartwatch were removed from a residence along Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, between midnight Jan. 9 and noon Jan. 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The owner of the vehicle was not at home at the time of the theft. The laptop is valued at $1,200, the shoes are valued at $50 and the watch, described as a rose gold Apple Watch series 2, is valued at $200. A model name and an estimated value of the car were not released.

Retail theft

Three people removed $3,254 worth of perfumes from Ulta Beauty salon and store, 833 N. Krocks Road, Suite 103, Lower Macungie Township, Jan. 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The theft occurred between 5:50 p.m. and 5:53 p.m. The people allegedly removed 30 glass perfume bottles, including brands Dior Sauvage and YSL Libre, by carrying them in their hands and in a basket.

Theft

A employee allegedly removed a fuel card from a business and the card was then used to make approximately $5,000 in transactions at Sheetz and Speedway gas stations in the Allentown/Bethlehem area between 7:30 a.m. Nov. 25, 2020 and 11 a.m. Nov. 30, 2020, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The person allegedly solicited cash payments in return for allowing individuals to use the fuel card to buy gas for their personal vehicles. The theft was reported at a location on Ramer Road, Upper Milford Township. Anyone with information regarding this incident may contact Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville at 610-395-1438.

A black Dremel tool, bag and attachments, valued at $65, a hammer, valued at $10 and a silver metal wood chisel hand tool, valued at $30, are among items removed from an unlocked shed in the 3500 block of Sherman Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 23, 2020, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Accidents

An 18-year-old male motorist was not hurt when his vehicle struck the end of a guide rail while he allegedly was using a cellphone, according Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle was northbound on Gehman Road nearing Grandview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 11:15 p.m. Jan. 20 when the driver swerved off the road. The passenger in the vehicle was not hurt. The vehicle was towed from the accident scene.

A 50-year-old driver, of Allentown, was hurt when her vehicle struck a utility pole at the intersection of Kressler Road and East Texas Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:15 p.m. Jan. 14, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The driver refused transportation to a hospital. Macungie Ambulance Corps and Stew’s Tire and Auto Center also responded.

An 87-year-old driver, of Macungie, was hurt when his vehicle allegedly rear-ended another vehicle at the intersection of U.S. Route 222 and North Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 5:30 p.m. Jan. 14, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The Macungie driver refused treatment. The other driver, of Breinigsville, was not hurt. Getz Service Center also responded.

A 22-year-old male, of Emmaus, was hurt when the car he was driving struck a house in the 5400 block of St. Peters Road, Upper Milford Township, 12:30 a.m. Dec. 26, 2020, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a left curve, crossed the road and went off the shoulder before hitting the residence. The driver was treated for injuries at the scene but refused transportation to a hospital, according to police. Mechanics Plus Towing also responded to the scene.

Warrant arrest

A 49-year-old female, of Easton, was taken into custody on an active warrant from Lehigh County authorities after the car in which she was a passenger was stopped in the 4600 block of Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 12:39 p.m. Jan. 11, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Harassment

A 16-year-old female, of Allentown, allegedly grabbed the face of a 58-year-old female during an argument about cellphones at a location on Spruce Road, Lower Macungie Township, 7:49 p.m. Jan. 19, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
