SES parent/teacher conferences March 8-11

How is everyone adjusting to the new school schedule? Not easy, is it?

As much as I couldn’t wait to get students back in the building, it is going to take a few weeks for the transition to run smoothly, which I completely expected. It also doesn’t help when we are back and forth to virtual learning due to snow. But looking on the bright side, at least we now have the option of virtual learning. Could you imagine if these were all snow days? We would be going to school until July!

We all need to break some bad habits that we picked up during virtual learning. A few being: sleeping late, wearing our PJs and not turning in work, but together we will get there. That being said, I LOVE having the kids back! And since I have lunch duty, I actually get to see them with their masks off. It is much easier to learn the names of students I don’t know when I can actually see their faces. We’ve got this.

Salisbury Elementary School will hold parent/teacher conferences for the end of the second trimester. March 8-11 will have 1:15 p.m. early dismissals for the elementary students and conferences will start 1:45 p.m. via Zoom. Sign-Up Genius will be used to schedule the conferences.

On the calendar: an operations committee meeting will be held 7 p.m. March 3.

The Salisbury High School college information night scheduled March 2 has been postponed. A new date has not yet been set.

Household hazardous waste and electronic waste services will begin for Salisbury residents March 1. An informational flyer was mailed to residents in mid-January. If you did not receive one, the information can be found on the Salisbury Township website.
