Viking sports teams celebrate graduating athletes

Allentown Central Catholic High School girls basketball sail into the top 10 and beyond with a record of 8-2. Recent results include a 45-16 victory against Conrad Weiser, a 35-22 win against Parkland and a 44-21 victory over Emmaus. Way to go Vikettes!

The Viking varsity boys basketball team took on Emmaus High School Hornets Feb. 10 at Rockne Hall. The Vikings defeated the Hornets with a score of 54-43. Congratulations to Class of 2021 boys basketball players who were honored at senior night at ACCHS. Players include Colby Faust, Aiden Burmiester, Christian Spugnardi and Andrew Csensits.

Congratulations to Class of 2021 cheerleaders who were honored at senior night. Honorees include Molly Amsler, Therese Bajo, Bella Keyes, Pamela Gonzalez, Brooke McEwen, Grace Seyle, Lauren Pristas and Viviana Zapata.

Congratulations to ACCHS wrestler, David Kreidler. Kreidler is proud to see a year’s worth of work come to fruition when he received an appointment to the United States Naval Academy. He will continue his wrestling career at the academy for coach Cary Kolat, a legendary four-time Pennsylvania champion!

Congratulations to our Science Olympiad team who competed in their second virtual competition Feb. 6. This competition was hosted by Penn State University.

The team will compete again virtually Feb. 27. Good luck to all participants.
