Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?

A. I am currently a 12th grade student at Emmaus High School.

Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.

A. My parents’ names are Ken and Michele. My siblings’ names are Andrew and Sarah.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject is physics because I love to understand how everyday things around me work. Physics has taught me to ask questions about how things work and has sparked my interest in engineering.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I have achieved Principal’s Honor Roll the last three years and I am an AP Scholar with Honor. I am also in National Honor Society.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has COVID-19 impacted these activities?

A. Yes, I am a lacrosse player and due to COVID-19, the past season had been canceled as well as our fall league. We hope to have a season this year and get back together as a full team soon. In addition, I am a part of Model UN and the economics and investing club which have become entirely virtual making it harder to have group debates and discussions.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge has been the transition from in person classes to online classes.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. My goal is to attend college to become a mechanical engineer and work to create advanced, more efficient engines.

Q. Whom do you admire? Why?

A. I admire my parents because they have worked hard to accomplish many things without anything being handed to them. Both of them showed me that hard work can create great success and I would like to follow in their footsteps by becoming an engineer.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I would like to be remembered as a dedicated student who was friendly and always willing to help.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. Make sure to find a good balance between school, extracurriculars and social life in order to enjoy life and meet new people.
