Preschool students give back

Chesterbrook Academy Preschool, 325 Lehigh St., Catasauqua, felt the spirit of giving recently when they donated nearly 100 items to Lily’s Hope Foundation. A nonprofit organization, Lily’s Hope Foundation supports babies, children and families in the neonatal intensive care unit with their unexpected needs due to premature birth.

“We support our NICU families by providing them with essential items since they have been unable to prepare for their child’s early arrival,” according to the Lily’s Hope Foundation website.

The Chesterbrook Academy students collected blankets, cleaning supplies, coffee, snacks, diapers, baby wipes, clothing and more. The items were put together to create Packages of Hope for the families in the NICU who have been unable to prepare for their child’s early arrival. In addition to their donation to Lily’s Hope Foundation, Chesterbrook students created more than 50 holiday cards for local state troopers to thank them for all that they do. Through these initiatives, students learned the importance of giving back and helping others in the community, especially during the holiday season.

Chesterbrook Academy is part of Spring Education Group, a multischool network providing private school education from infant care through high school. Chesterbrook provides a well-rounded curriculum, caring and skilled teachers and a commitment to parent communication.
