Salisbury High School names student of the week

Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?

A. I am in 12th grade at Salisbury High School.

Q. Who is in your family? Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.

A. My family consists of my mom Kim, my dad Brian, my younger sister Dana, my older sister Kiara, my cat Alonzo and my two dogs Lacey and Miley.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject is art because it allows me to express myself without words and it helps me to alleviate stress.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. While attending Lehigh Career & Technical Institute, I was awarded student of the month for November of both 2017 and 2018.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has COVID-19 impacted these activities?

A. Currently, I’m not involved in any extracurricular activities.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. After high school, a goal of mine is to open my own business to design, create and sell my art.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. I would say my biggest challenge currently has been finding the motivation to take that first initial step in pursuing my goals.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I hope to be remembered as someone who accepted everyone for who they are.

Q. Whom do you admire? Why?

A. I really admire my sister, Kiara, because she’s kind to every single person she meets and never judges anyone.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. If there’s any advice I’d have for my peers, it would be to live for yourself and do whatever makes you truly happy, regardless of what others think or say about it. In the long run, choosing your own path to follow will make you much happier than living your life solely to please others.
