Blondies holds community dinner

Rebecca Zukowski Gillespie and Chad Gillespie, of Blondies Cupcakes, 333 Front St., hosted a Christmas- themed community dinner Dec. 22, 2020.

According to Zukowski Gillespie, there was plenty of homemade food, Christmas cookies, gifts for the children and more, including additional food items for community members if needed.

As an extra-special treat, Santa and Mrs. Claus were in attendance to wish glad tidings to the children and families.

“We always have something each year, but this year hurt every one,” Zukowski Gillespie said. “We had community dinners every month, and that helped some, too.”

She reported there were about 100 presents and gift bags for the children.

Zukowski Gillespie shared her thanks to everyone who contributed and helped make the event happen, including Rick Nauman, Paul Lesperance, Master’s Construction, the Atkinson family, Don from Walmart, Girl Scouts, the Moore Township YMCA, Redner’s Warehouse Market in Northampton, the Livingston family, the Roberts family, the Ruta family, Cindy Confalone and Mr. and Mrs. Snyder.
