Albert Joseph Cavosi

Albert Joseph Cavosi, 87, of Fullerton and formerly of Allentown, died Dec. 6, 2020, in his home. He was the husband of the late Gertrude M. (Lenhart) Cavosi and the fiance of Sara J. (Heckman) Siegfried.

Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Ruben and Albina (Galeaz) Cavosi.

A 1950 graduate of Hazleton High School, he attended McCann School of Business.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He started his 36-year career in banking as the assistant branch manager of the former Merchants Bank, Jordan branch, followed by a promotion to branch manager of the Whitehall Mall branch. He served as assistant vice president until he retired in 1992 from the former First Fidelity Bank. He also worked part time at the former Two Guys, Kiddie City and Kinney Shoes. Right after high school, he worked as a lineman for PP&L Electric.

He was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall, and a member of the Golden Agers. He was a former member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society.

He was a charter member of the former Whitehall Kiwanis Club and was a former treasurer of Whitehall Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to his fiancee, he is survived by a daughter, Mary Beth and her husband Edward O’Dea of Schnecksville; a son, Joseph A. Cavosi and his wife Trisha of Reading; a granddaughter, Claire O’Dea of Schnecksville; his fiancee’s four children, Scott Siegfried of Fullerton, Timothy Siegfried of Northampton, Todd Siegfried and his wife Sonya of Allentown and Heidi and her husband Joseph Abraham of Whitehall; and his fiancee’s six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
