Herbine earns top honor in field hockey

The East Penn Conference announced this year’s field hockey all-stars last week.

With teams playing in-county schedules in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic, the league released three lists of all-stars with one from each of the counties within the league. The lists include selections for a first team, a smaller list of second-team players and one most valuable player in each county.

Emmaus had four first-team selections, including Kyleigh Faust, Annika Herbine, Rachel Herbine, Alexis Kociban, and two players named to the second team in Abigail Burnett and Bailey Tietz.

Annika Herbine was named the MVP for Lehigh County. Easton’s Sophi Emin was named MVP for Northampton County. Stroudsburg’s Amanda Duke got the nod for MVP in Monroe County.
