Matthew Roland Yudt

Matthew Roland Yudt, 52, of Schwenksville, died Nov. 11, 2020, after a two-year battle with large B-cell non-Hodgkin’s primary central nervous system lymphoma. He was the husband of Rachael Nicole Stein Yudt.

He was a son of Gail and Roland Yudt of Coplay.

He graduated from Whitehall High School in 1986. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Penn State University in 1991 and a Ph.D. in biophysics from the University of Rochester in 1998.

He was a scientific director in the pharmaceutical industry. He was a molecular endocrinologist and scientist. He was an adjunct professor at Villanova University where he taught graduate courses on molecular endocrinology and pharmacology.

He was inducted into Whitehall-Coplay School District’s Zephyr Graduates of Distinction in 2012.

He coached his children’s baseball and softball teams.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by three children, Noah, Elijah and Liviah; a brother, Mark Yudt of Orlando, Fla.; and paternal grandmother, Anna Yudt of Coplay.
