LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Lights in the Parkway opens Nov. 27

The City of Allentown is partnering with Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital to present the 24th season of Lights in the Parkway 5:30-10 p.m. Nov. 27 through Dec. 27.

Lights in the Parkway will be closed Christmas Day.

Drive through this spectacular holiday light show in the comfort and safety of your own car.

Traditional favorites and larger than life spectaculars set to music transform more than a mile of Lehigh Parkway into a winter wonderland.

Visitors will experience tunnels, favorite holiday scenes and more.

The new displays for the 2020 season will light up the night.

Many of the trees in the Lehigh Parkway are wrapped in lights and shining brightly.

“Lights” is fun for all ages and is an annual tradition for many throughout the Lehigh Valley and beyond.

The City of Allentown’s Parks Department is the creative and visual talent behind Lights in the Parkway.

Parks’ Superintendent Rick Holtzman, Chief Maintenance Supervisor Christian Bianco and Parks’ supervisors Michelle McGinniss and Tyler Fatzinger and the parks department staff have provided the lighting expertise needed to produce just the right illumination, shadow and silhouetting effects for this imaginative wonderland.

Lights in the Parkway continues to show commitment to use energy-efficient LED lights in all new displays and to convert more existing displays each year to LED bulbs.

LED lights use 85 percent less energy than traditional bulbs and last about four times longer.

The Lights in the Parkway program is proudly offered by the City of Allentown in partnership with presenting sponsor Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital.

Tinsel, Star, Mistletoe and Jingle Bell sponsors include 100.7 WLEV and Cat Country 96, iHeart Media and B104, La Mega Radio, Allentown Federal Credit Union, Latina Radio, RCN, Waste Management, Service Electric, Alvin H. Butz Inc, Bigfoot Poconos and 93.5 SBG.

Tickets must be purchased in advance either online at www.lightsintheparkway.com or in person at all Allentown Federal Credit Union locations.

To adhere to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines during this time no cash or credit sales will be accepted on site.
