Salisbury polling places locations clarified

Corrected information for Nov. 3 election polling places in Salisbury Township was discussed at the Oct. 22 board of commissioners’ meeting.

Salisbury Township Manager Cathy Bonaskiewich said some information was incorrect on a Lehigh County website.

In an Oct. 26 email to The Press, Bonaskiewich said information was updated on the county website midday Oct. 26.

Voting will be held 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 3.

Per the Lehigh County Voter Registration website, Salisbury Township polling locations have been amended as follows:

Salisbury 1st Ward, Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 1707 Church Road

Salisbury 2nd Ward, Eastern Salisbury Fire Company, 1000 E. Emmaus Ave.

Salisbury 3rd Ward, 1st District, Salisbury Middle School, 3301 Devonshire Road

Salisbury 3rd Ward, 2nd District, Salisbury Township Municipal Building, 2900 S. Pike Ave.

Salisbury 4th Ward, 1st District, Salisbury Middle School, 3301 Devonshire Road, Allentown

Salisbury 4th Ward, 2nd District, Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church, 1151 Cedar Crest Blvd.

Salisbury 5th Ward, 1st District, Horizon Church, 2613 W. South St., Allentown

Salisbury 5th Ward, 2nd District, St. Timothy’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 140 S. Ott St., Allentown.

For township residents voting at Eastern Salisbury Fire Company, additional parking is expected to be available across the street at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 1005 E. Emmaus Ave.. Assistance in crossing Emmaus Avenue is to be provided.

Meanwhile, at the Oct. 22 township meeting, board of commissioners President Deb Brinton, a judge of elections at the township municipal building polling place, asked Salisbury Township Chief of Police Kevin J. Soberick, “Will you be available if there’s problem?”

“We are aware of it,” Soberick said. “There’s a plan in place. We got information from the county district attorney’s office.”

Brinton was referring to concerns about possible disruptions or interference in the Election Day voting process at polling places.
