Tower garden grows fresh vegetables

LEFT: Linda Findlay, who works at Juice Plus and also substitute teaches in Salisbury schools, holds a demonstration in Kristy Wied's fourth grade classroom Oct. 16 to show the students how the Tower Garden works. Findlay demonstrated how the plants are inserted and how the grow lights and water circulation are controlled by timers. Grow lights are on for 14 hours a day and off for 10 hours at night. The water circulates through the tower for 15 minutes every hour on the hour. See an additional photo on Page A2. Press Photos by Rebecca Foehrkolb
