EHS student of the week Johnson Yang

Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?

A. I am currently enrolled in 12th grade at Emmaus High School.

Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.

A. My mom and dad, Ying and Feng, my older and younger brother, Johnny and Ethan.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject is environmental science. I think it’s important and interesting to know how humans impact the world.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. National Honor Society, honor roll and AP Scholar.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has COVID-19 impacted these activities?

A. I’m in Envirothon, The Stinger newspaper, EHS tennis and Earth Watch. COVID-19 has made these activities harder to schedule with only virtual interactions.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge is managing time between classes, extracurricular activities and personal goals.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. My next goal after high school is to attend a university and study architecture or environmental science.

Q. Whom do you admire? Why?

A. I admire my older brother as he is very hardworking and understanding when it comes to both school and life.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I would like to be remembered as someone who made a positive impact on the world.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. Be yourself.
