Northampton police responded to these and other calls recently.

SEPT. 16

A report of a disturbance in the 1900 block of Canal Street brought police to the scene.

Harassment in the 900 block of Siegfried Avenue was reported.

SEPT. 17

Officers and the department’s K-9 unit assisted North Catasauqua police during a traffic stop at Lehigh and Front streets, Whitehall.

At Main and East 14th streets, police checked on the welfare of a male.

Juvenile problems took place in the 1600 block of Washington Avenue, in the 400 block of East Seventh Street and at Smith Lane and Lerchenmiller Drive.

Officers assisted Luzerne County Sheriff’s Department in the 300 block of East 10th Street.

At East Fourth and Pearl streets, a reportable accident involving two vehicles took place.

An unwanted female in the 2000 block of Washington Avenue was reported.

In the 1600 block of Canal Street, police investigated a disturbance.

Police checked on the welfare of a female in the 200 block of East 21st Street.

Suspicious activity in the 1900 block of Main Street occurred.

SEPT. 18

Police checked on the welfare of a male in the 500 block of Washington Avenue and on a female in the 1300 block of Stewart Street.

In the 1600 block of Main Street, officers investigated a report of harassment.

A hit and run took place in the 1500 block of Main Street. A legally parked vehicle was struck by a green Volkswagen, damaging the driver-side mirror.

A juvenile problem at Laubach Avenue and Smith Lane was filed with the department.

Officers responded to a civil matter in the 900 block of Dewey Avenue.

In the 1500 block of Railroad Street, police investigated a report of loud music.

SEPT. 19

Police checked on the welfare of a female in the 1800 block of Lincoln Avenue.

At Green and West 27th streets, a juvenile issue brought out officers.

SEPT. 20

On Meadow Lane, in the 100 block of Michael Court and in the 1900 block of Northampton Avenue, reports of political signs taken out of front yards were filed with the department.

A child custody issue took place in the 100 block of East Fourth Street.

A disturbance in the 1300 block of Vienna Street was reported.

At West 26th Street and Cherryville Road, police responded to a report of suspicious activity.

SEPT. 21

At East 18th Street and Laubach Avenue, a traffic stop was conducted.

An unattended death in the 1900 block of Main Street was investigated.

In the 1500 block of Railroad Street, police responded to a report of loud music.

The department received a report of a disturbance in the 2100 block of Washington Avenue.

SEPT. 22

An unwanted male in the 900 block of Main Street was reported.

At Horwith and Clear Springs drives, suspicious activity was investigated.

Officers checked on the welfare of a male in the 1400 block of Canal Street.

Harassment in the 1600 block of Main Street was reported.

SEPT. 23

A hit and run occurred at East 21st Street and Siegfried Avenue. A vehicle, stopped at the light, was struck by a white sedan driven by a school-aged male. After striking the back of the vehicle, the white sedan turned left onto Siegfried Avenue and reportedly fled the scene.

A traffic stop was conducted at Walker Drive and Howertown Road.

In the 1400 block of Canal Street, police responded to a report of a juvenile issue.

In the 1400 block of Newport Avenue, a domestic dispute between a male and female took place.

SEPT. 24

Police checked on the welfare of a female in the 2100 block of Washington Avenue.

In the 300 block of Adaire Court, a custody matter occurred.

SEPT. 25

Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 1300 block of Newport Avenue.

Police checked on the welfare of a male in the 2000 block of Canal Street.

In the 1300 block of Newport Avenue, a domestic dispute between a male and a female took place.

A juvenile problem in the 1400 block of Laubach Avenue occurred.

At West Fourth and Main streets, a traffic stop was conducted.

SEPT. 26

Police investigated a gas leak in the 300 block of Adaire Court.

Officers checked the area of Laubach Avenue and East 21st Street.

A hit and run occurred in the 1400 block of Railroad Street. A legally parked vehicle was struck, damaging the front fender. A witness saw a white female with brown or blonde hair driving a silver Chevrolet hatchback back out of a parking spot and hit the parked vehicle. The offending vehicle left the scene.

A report of a juvenile problem in the 100 block of West 30th Street brought police to the scene.

SEPT. 28

Police checked on the welfare of a female in the 200 block of West 27th Street.

A traffic stop was conducted in the 2000 block of Canal Street.

A vehicle was towed in the 1900 block of Washington Avenue.

In the 400 block of East Ninth Street, police investigated a neighbor issue.

SEPT. 29

In the 2100 block of Dewey Avenue, a traffic stop was conducted.

An overdose at Canal and West 14th streets was reported.

Police checked on the welfare of a male in the 300 block of Main Street.

SEPT. 30

A traffic stop was conducted in the 1500 and 2400 blocks of Main Street.

Officers checked the area of Poplar Street and Roethline Court after a report that a stop sign was hit.

A DUI case involving three vehicles was investigated in the 1500 block of Main Street.
