Upper Milford Township Supervisors approval parcel swap

At the Oct. 1 meeting, Upper Milford Township Supervisors approved Mark DeWalt’s request to swap a “high value” parcel within his property classified as preserved farmland for a “low value” parcel thus allowing the property owner to go ahead with plans to build a garage on his property.

DeWalt’s property is on Acorn Drive.

Upper Milford Township currently has 54 farms in the agricultural preservation program.

These farms account for 3,612 acres in Lehigh County in the program, according to Lehigh County’s website.

In other business, supervisors approved payment of bills in the amount of $129,726.12.
