The Parkland cross country teams swept Dieruff last week in a dual meet at Parkland High School.

The Trojans boys and girls team each won its meet by 15-50 scores.

Parkland sophomore Elena Wenger took first place in the girls race, finishing in 20:25. Trojan senior Brooke Labenberg was 19 seconds behind in second place, followed by teammates Ava Bendetti, Jessica Price and Gracie Trexler rounding out the top five.

Parkland senior Ben Esquieres won the boys race in 17:29, just three seconds ahead of teammate Brady Hoffman, who was just a second ahead Josh Abeln as Parkland’s top five ran in a tight pack with Josh Beltrame and Brian Warren taking fourth and fifth places, respectively.
