Ruth Bertha (Hardner) Schmoyer, 81, of Macungie, died Oct. 8, 2020. She was the wife of the late David R. Schmoyer for 40 years.

She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Emmaus and the Emmaus Women’s Club.

She had a wonderful sense of humor; was an avid baseball fan and loved baking and needlework.

As a volunteer and friend to many, she was tireless in her efforts to care for the needs of others.

She is survived by a son, Wayne and his wife, Susan, of Annville; a son, Tim, of Sneads, Fla. and siblings, Francis Hardner Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Macungie, Mary Kisthart and Carl Hardner and his wife, Bonnie, of Allentown; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many close family and friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Jean Sickar, of Northampton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Oct. 15 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 415 S. Sixth St., Emmaus. A viewing will take place 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Oct. 15 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus.
