Moore Township: Soup, sandwich sale planned

Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive, will sell homemade soup and sandwiches for curbside pickup 3-7 p.m. Oct. 16.

Sandwich choices are roast beef or ham. Soup choices are chicken potpie, string bean and ham, clam chowder and Italian wedding.

Covenant United Methodist Church, 2715 Mountain View Drive, is offering a 13-week program called GriefShare, beginning Oct. 20.

The program will be held 9-11 a.m. every Tuesday. Church membership is not required.

Klecknersville Rangers is also planning to hold a breaded seafood fest for curbside pickup 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Oct. 24.

No preordering or call ahead is required.

Moore Township will host a trunk or treat and movie night 5-10:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at Borek Field, off Route 946 and English Road.

There will be games and prizes, a raffle and a fire pit for s’mores. The featured movie is “Hocus Pocus.” The snack stand will be open.

There is a cost to register cars for the event but no charge for enjoying the festivities.

Space for cars is limited. To reserve a space, contact Rebecca at 484-239-0271 or Lois at 610-704-5629. The rain date is Oct. 25.

Christ United Church of Christ, Little Moore, 913 S. Mink Road, is holding a basket raffle with all-occasion baskets, gift certificates and more.

The event will take place 5-8 p.m. Nov. 6 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 7.

Social-distancing guidelines will be in place, and masks are required.
