Bath: Church to resume in-person services

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, will resume in-person church services 9 a.m. Sundays, beginning Oct. 11.

Several requirements need to be strictly adhered to at this time. Everyone must wear a mask at all times. If you cannot wear a mask for medical reasons, please wear a face shield.

Seating will be limited and assigned; therefore, everyone must call the church office at 610-837-1741 by Thursday to reserve a spot. If you call after the spots are filled, you will receive priority for the next week.

When you arrive Sunday morning, you will be asked to answer health questions and have your temperature taken. If it is 100.3 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, you will not be allowed access to the building.

For those who cannot participate in in-person worship, the church will continue to offer both the traditional and contemporary service online 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. every Sunday.

Hands are needed for maintenance work on the cemetery at Emmanuel’s church.

There will be subsidence fill-in and brush removal work, as well as some tree branch lopping. This is not the biannual cleanup event.

Call or text Karl Monroe at 484-894-2136 if you can help.

There will be doughnuts - and bringing a pickup truck and power tools will get you an extra one, organizers say.

During the month of October, Emmanuel’s will be helping Bath Area Food Bank by collecting boxed macaroni and cheese, toilet paper and paper towels. There is also an ongoing need for ramen noodles.

Donations for the food bank can be dropped off in the vestibule to the downstairs parlor.

For more information, call the church office at 610-837-1741.
