DUI

Joseph Daniel Medina, 32, of Allentown, was charged with allegedly driving under the influence, fleeing and eluding police, possession of a controlled substance and traffic offenses following an incident on East Emmaus Avenue and Gaskill Avenue Sept. 15, according to Salisbury police. Medina was transported to the Lehigh County Central Booking Center.

Burglary

Stephen Ray Letsch, 54, of Palm Bay, Fla., was charged with alleged burglary, theft by unlawful taking and simple assault following an incident in the 1100 block of South Cedar Crest Boulevard Sept. 17, according to Salisbury police. A warrant was issued and Letsch was picked up and transported to the Lehigh County Central Booking Center.

Theft from vehicle

Checks and approximately $10 in quarters were removed from a vehicle parked in the 900 block of Edward Street, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Sept. 19. No damage to the vehicle was noted, according to police.

Fraud

Purchases valued at approximately $800 were fraudulently made against EPPIC and credit card accounts of a person who lives in the 900 block of East Rock Road, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Sept. 17 and is under investigation.

Scam

A resident of the 900 block of South Hays Street told police a caller advised her that her iCloud account had been hacked and instructed her to purchase a $500 Apple gift card and provide the card number to the caller, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Sept. 17.

Assist

Salisbury Township Police Department K-9 Unit Officer Brian Zulic and Miklo assisted with an investigation of an active shooter inside the Lehigh Valley Mall Sept. 19, according to Salisbury police. The K-9 unit assisted as needed with the building search of the shopping mall.
