Virtual open house Sept. 23

How is the virtual learning going? Hopefully, every day gets a little bit easier.

Salisbury Elementary School is holding a virtual open house 7-8:15 p.m. Sept. 23. There will be three different sessions: the first 7-7:20 p.m., the second 7:25-7:45 p.m. and the third 7:50-8:10 p.m. All the sessions are the same. There are three sessions in case you have more than one student and need to meet with different teachers.

There are two events Sept. 28. First, the Salisbury High School Guidance Office will hold a virtual college financial aid night via Zoom 6:30-8 p.m. This is a very informative event and I encourage any parent of a junior or senior to attend.

The second event is a curriculum and technology committee meeting via Zoom 7 p.m. Sept. 28.

The Salisbury Athletic Booster Club will hold a clothing drive fundraiser 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 3. It’s time to go through your closets and get rid of all those clothes that no longer fit and take them to the SHS old gym entrance. For a list of acceptable items, visit www.clothingdrive.net.

Salisbury Township will hold trick or treat night 6-8 p.m. Oct. 30. For those who will be trick or treating, you are asked to social distance and wear a face mask and only knock on doors with their porch light on. If you are planning on handing out candy, make sure your light is on. Have fun!

Salisbury Township drop-off centers are open on alternating weeks. Devonshire is open the week of Sept. 28 and Franko the week of Oct. 4. The centers are open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
