BC seniors set to get started

Bethlehem Catholic’s boys’ soccer team may have lost 14 seniors to graduation, but eight current seniors are ready to lead the Hawks this season.

Those seniors are Jackson Gilstrap, Rece Martin, Daniel Perez, Anthony Recchia, Jacob Sledz, Jordon Troxell, Brea Diaz Alvero, and Brady Vaile.

“Most of the boys kept up their workouts during the lock down and the turnouts we got showed the dedication the boys have to the team,” said Becahi coach John Hohn.

“Honestly, all of them are key players, and with everything going on in the world, we didn’t see a large influx of freshmen. This year will be a lean year for us but the boys are working hard and I am really excited to see what they can do.”

While Coach Hohn believes the Hawks’ strength will be its defensive line, the team is working on shooting.

“We [also] need to work on playing on the larger turf fields,” Hohn said. “Most all of the teams we play have large turf and we have a small grass field.”

Jordon Troxell is a key returning player for the Becahi Hawks this season.
