Lee Nancy Brown, 72, of Emmaus, died peacefully at home Aug. 14, 2020. She was the wife of Thomas Schofield Brown III. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 27. Born in Plainfield, N.J., she was the daughter of Frederick W. and Elsie L. (Ross) Bowman.
She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Muhlenberg College in 1969, majoring in German.
She was a beloved preschool teacher at several schools in New Jersey, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee and Vermont.
A Lutheran, she was particularly active with two congregations: St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran in Jackson Township, Ohio and Ascension Lutheran in Cincinnati, Ohio. She served on the worship and music committee and altar guild.
Her passion was tennis and then pickle ball. She organized and played in numerous bridge and euchre groups. She loved music, played the piano and guitar and sang with college and church choirs. She enjoyed visiting New Jersey beaches, national parks, Williamsburg and sightseeing throughout Europe.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Daryl; a daughter, Heather Rogers; a brother, Elwood Bowman; granddaughters, Taylor and Kaitlyn Rogers.

A memorial service will be planned post pandemic. Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. Allentown.
