Coplay police responded to these and other calls recently.

JULY 23

Police were on the scene of a reported stabbing in the 100 block of Chestnut Street. Two males reportedly got into an altercation, and a 21-year-old male was stabbed. According to police, the male who did the stabbing, identified as Thomas Koble, 50, of the 100 block of Front Street, fled the area. It was later reported Koble worked in Phillipsburg, N.J. The information was forwarded to the Phillipsburg police, and Koble was arrested. The victim was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital and released the next day.

Officers investigated a report of a stolen vehicle in the 100 block of North Front Street.

A child custody issue brought police to the 100 block of Chestnut Street.

The department assisted North Catasauqua police with a suspicious person report in the 1100 block of Front Street.

JULY 24

Officers investigated a report of a residential alarm in the 800 block of Oak Street.

A child custody issue brought police to the 100 block of Chestnut Street.

The department assisted North Catasauqua police with a report of a suspicious male in the 200 block of Eugene Street.

Officers investigated a report of 30-40 people playing baseball at Balliet Stadium and not practicing social distancing or wearing masks.

JULY 25

Police investigated a report of a debit card stolen in the 800 block of Catherine Drive.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the unit block of North Sixth Street. It was reported the shots could have come from Whitehall Township.

A parking issue in the unit block of North Seventh was handled by police.

The department investigated a report of a lost wallet and keys in the unit block of South Fourth Street.

Police assisted a citizen in the 1000 block of Chestnut Street.

A black and white dog was reported running loose in the 400 block of Chestnut Street.

JULY 26

Officers responded to a fire alarm in the unit block of North Front Street.

A lost dog in the 100 block of Chestnut Street was reported. The dog was reunited with its owner.

JULY 27

A business alarm in the unit block of South Second Street was investigated.

JULY 28

Police responded to a report of a missing female in the 100 block of Maple Street. The female was located.

A suspicious vehicle at Coplay Parkway was reported.

The department addressed parking complaints on Chestnut Street and at South Second and Center streets.

JULY 29

A driver was charged after being found in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia during a vehicle stop in the 100 block of North Second Street.

Officers responded to a report of youths loitering in the 1000 block of Chestnut Street.

Youths throwing rocks along the Ironton Rail Trail were reported.

The department attempted to assist Northampton police with a theft warrant in the unit block of North Front Street.
