Francis “Boomy” X. Fasching, 79, of Danielsville, died July 17, 2020, at his home. He was the husband of Arlene (Decker) Fasching for 52 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Otto and Catherine (Morgan) Fasching.
He was in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
He was an industrial mechanic at various breweries for many years before retiring from Pabst Brewery, Foglesville, in 2001.
He was a member of the Oplinger Hower American Legion Post 899 and of the Hemlock Sportsman Club since 1959, where he was president since 1970.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Terry S. and his wife Penny of Beltzville; five daughters, Eileen L. and her husband Kenny Elder of Arizona, Christine M. Marshall of Lehighton, Frances V. and her husband Tino Lispi of Lake Harmony, Theresa S. Arnold of Virginia and Catherine B. and her husband Rob Rupert of Mertztown; a brother, Robert of Port Charlotte, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two nieces.
He was predeceased by a brother, Michael.
