Elizabeth A. “Bette Anne” Flick, 80, of Macungie, died July 10, 2020, in Above & Beyond, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of Edward O. Flick. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in November 2019. Born in Yeadon, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Marie (Keffer) Avil.
She graduated from Chestnut Hill College with a bachelor’s degree in fashion and design.
She was a treasurer for East Penn Machinery and Superior Combustion.
She was a very active member of St. Thomas More Church and St. Thomas More School.
She was a co-founder of Birthright of Allentown, a pro-life organization caring for unwed mothers-to-be.
She and her husband were former residents of Four Seasons. They also owned a home in Ocean City, N.J., for 25 years and spent most of their free time there.
She is survived by her husband; children, Ted and his wife, Sandy, Liza, Jason and his wife, Jennifer; grandchildren: Beth Ann, Katherine, Rebecca, Margaret, Manuel, Cortney, Sydney, Daniel, Joseph, Gabriel, Luca, Gracie; a great-grandson, Alden; a sister, Marie O’Malley; a brother, Howard Avil and his wife, Jane.
Contributions may be made to St. Thomas More Church.
Services will be held 11 a.m. July 16 at St. Thomas More Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown, 18103. A visitation will be held 10 to 10:45 a.m. July 16 in the church. Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
