Arlene G. Slanovits, 94, formerly of Coplay and Northampton, died June 29, 2020, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late Edward M. Slanovits.

Born in Washington Township, she was a daughter of the late Clark and Anna (Wetzel) Vough.

She was a garment worker at Tama Manufacturing for many years until she retired in 1994.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Coplay.

She was a lifetime member of Coplay Saengerbund, where she bowled for many years in the Wednesday night ladies’ league, and its ladies auxiliary.

She is survived by two daughters, Nadine and her husband Jerry Shull of Northampton and Valerie Slanovits and her companion Jim Gordon of Seemsville; three grandchildren, Erica Shull, Justin Gombert and Miranda Spengler; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Benn of Whitehall.

She was predeceased by four brothers; one sister; and a companion, Rowland Wallitsch.
