LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Two new encounters

LV ZOO

Lehigh Valley Zoo is offering two new animal encounters to teach about the importance of conservation.

Starting Sept. 14, guests can have a special meet-and-greet with Naya and Luani, the zoo’s otterly adorable otter pair, or Meeko, the ambassador raccoon.

Book a private encounter with the zoo and participants will be invited to come to the zoo before hours to assist an otter keeper.

Throw the otters their breakfast fish. Keepers will give participants a very special painting made by one of these amazing otters.

Naya and Luani aren’t the only ones with a new encounter.

The zoo’s ambassador raccoon, Meeko, is sure to steal hearts at first glance.

Raccoons are curious and love to explore.

During this 40-minute program, participants will learn about Meeko, her species, and her natural history.

The participants may feed this ambassador raccoon and take pictures with her.

Be part of a training session or interact with Meeko in her habitat as she explores her favorite enrichment.

No matter the chosen activities, participants can count on an interactive, unique experience with an incredible animal.

These encounters are limited, so be sure to book a week in advance.

For more information and booking, call the zoo’s main office at 610-799-4171 or email membership@lvzoo.org.
