Rodney Dale Smith, 74, of Saylorsburg, who lived in the Lehigh Valley most of his life, including Wilson Boro and Bethlehem, died June 26, 2020, following a brief struggle with pneumonia. Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Harry James Smith and Agnes H. P. Kreuger Smith. He was the husband of Tina Smith for 31 years.
He was a 1963 Wilson Area High School graduate.
He was a Vietnam era veteran in the U.S. Navy.
He worked for NCR, later AT&T where he was a senior network technician, and from which he retired in 1998. For the last 10 years he was an IT consultant, fire engine salesman and a computer network specialist.
He is survived by four children, Dawn Brensinger of Slatington, Kevin Smith of Hellertown, Randy Lagler of Saylorsburg and Nicole Lagler of Northampton; five grandchildren, Jordan Smith, Madison Smith, Kane Brensinger, Cheyenne Smith and Owen Garofalo; and many other family members.
He was predeceased by a sister, Sandra Smith Stoddert.
