John Sandous Wormley Jr., 72, of Macungie, died unexpectedly June 16, 2020, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of the late Gloria Wormley. They were married for 22 years. Born in Plainfield, N.J., he was a son of the late John S. Wormely Sr. and Emma L. (Joyner) Wormley.

He was a 1965 graduate of Plainfield High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Thomas Edison State University.

He worked at AT&T Lucent Technologies until he retired where he was a software developer and a technical training instructor.

After retirement he pursued a second career in real estate.

He thoroughly enjoyed life, jazz festivals, music and being outdoors in the sun. He also loved spending time with his daughter.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Armstrong-Moore who dedicated her life to taking care of him when his health started to fail; a sister, Sheila (Henry) Coleman; a brother, Donald (Palma); many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
