Jean M. Krall, 96, died June 9, 2020, at Sacred Heart by the Creek, Northampton. Born in New York City, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Henrietta (Windler) Paterson.
She was the wife of the late Henry J. Krall for 38 years.
She was a graduate of Fort Lee (New Jersey) High School. She attended business school in New York.
She was a receptionist and secretary in New York City. She worked at Associated Heath Services of New York (now Blue Cross), one of the first medical insurance systems in the country. She was an executive secretary at Parents Magazine, Bergenfield, N.J. She worked in customer service and was a dental assistant and volunteered at the local hospital in Cleveland, Tenneesee.
She was a deacon at First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua where she was a member of the Presbyterian Women.
During World War II, as part of a Red Cross program, she and friends visited wounded servicemen returning from the war at Camp Shanks. Orangeburg, N.Y. She was a volunteer in the Whitehall-Coplay School District.
She is survived by a son, Douglas and his wife Deborah; and two grandchildren, Brian and Elizabeth.
She was predeceased by a sister, Peggy Schlosser.
