Carole L. (Christman) Barkey, 76, of Bethlehem, died June 18, 2020. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Beatrice (Yerger) Christman. She was the wife of Donald A. Barkey for 52 years.

She was a graduate of Liberty High School and of St. Luke’s Nursing School.

She worked at St. Luke’s Hospital in the surgical department and at ManorCare, Bethlehem.

She was a member at Calvary Baptist Church, Easton.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Karen Smothers and her husband John of Manhattan, Kansas; a son, David and his wife Kari of Washinton; a brother, Earl Christman and his wife Gloria of Fountain Hill; a sister, Doris Eckhart and her husband Arlin of Newtown; and two grandchildren, Joshua and Noah Smothers.
