Northampton Area Public Library: Library now has all items available for curbside service
Northampton Area Public Library began curbside pickup service June 15. All items available in the library, including books, audiobooks, magazines, DVDs, CDs and board games, may be picked up.
To participate, place a hold on items via northamptonapl.org. You may also call the library at 610-262-7537 to place holds. You will be notified once your items are ready for pickup.
The library asks you to schedule a time to pick up your items. At your designated time, visit the library by the front doors. Your items will be bagged and labeled with your name.

Currently checked out items have a due date of June 30. The book drops are open to accept returns.

Summer reading has begun and runs through Aug. 15 for all ages. This year, the library will be using Reader Zone to track reading online - use the code 784cc.
In conjunction with Reader Zone, NAPL will also offer paper forms for Summer Quest for kids, teens and adults for more chances to win. Forms can be found on the website or picked up at the library.

Craft bags with story suggestions are available for curbside pickup for ages preschool through second grade, with a new craft every week.
You must register each week online or by phone in order to receive the craft bag. The library will call to schedule a pickup time.

Happily Ever After, this year’s writing challenge for kids, is running June 1-22 for children in kindergarten through second grade and third grade through fifth grade.
Do you ever wonder what happened after the happily ever after? What happened that made it so happy, or maybe it wasn’t happy at all? Think of your favorite fairy tale that ends with happily ever after and write what happened after.
One winner from each age group will win a basket of school supplies.

There is an essential oils class planned 7 p.m. June 24. Learn natural ways to take care of your family and support your immune system through this online Zoom class.

The teen summer reading program will include do-it-yourself wands June 22 and Bewitch a Book Cover June 29.
Registration is required for programs in order to receive the correct supplies from the library.
All programs are passive, and the dates are when the video will premiere.

The social distancing challenge for teens runs until June 30. There are 50 activities you can participate in to earn points and community service hours during your time at home.
The person with the most points will win a prize.

Join X Y Zen Wellness 6 p.m. June 30 to explore the significance of sleep to our well-being and tips and tricks to get better quality sleep. This program will take place online on Zoom.

The teens Twisted Tales book club will read “Cinder” by Marissa Meyer. The group will meet 3 p.m. July 1 on Discord to discuss the book.
The book will be provided by the library.
