Loraine D. Steele, 92, of Northampton, died May 30, 2020, at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth. She was the wife of the late Allan Steele.

Born in Cementon, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Annie (Lobach) Ritter.

She was a seamstress for J.C. Penney, Whitehall, until she retired in 1991. Before that, she worked at Bretz Cleaners, Northampton.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Northampton.

She volunteered for Meals on Wheels in Northampton County and the Northampton Food Bank and was a Girl Scout leader.

She is survived by two sisters, Myrtle Jandrisovits of Northampton and Shirley and her husband Donald Reph of West Chester; nieces; and nephews.

Services will be private.
