Fogelsville resident earns degree

Wilson College

Lauren Sobczak of Fogelsville graduated summa cum laude with a Master of Education degree from Wilson College, Chambersburg.

Sobczak is a high school special education teacher with the Annville-Cleona School District.

She teaches English to learning support students in grades nine through 12.

Sobczak wrote the curricula for the English Essentials I and II courses for students who are career-bound directly after graduating from high school.

After four years, this fall she will take her new position as their ninth grade English teacher.

Sobczak advises the middle school Quiz Bowl Team, which was undefeated in the 2019-2020 school year.

She is a member of the ACT 48 Committee, planning in-service programs for the faculty, and mentors the new Life Skills teacher.

She enjoys developing materials for Teachers Pay Teachers and is fulfilling her lifelong dream to teach.

She is the daughter of Tom and Sandy Sobczak.
